Madonna Postpones Celebration Tour Following Hospitalization

BREAKING NEWS:

Madonna became ill and was placed in ICU for several days.

Details:

  • Madonna’s talent manager, Guy Oseary, say’s “On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”
  • The Celebration tour, produced by Live Nation, was set to kick off at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC on Saturday, July 15th, 2023, taking in 43 cities with shows across North America, and Europe.
  • The show is geared to take fans on Madonna’s artistic journey through four decades and pay respect to the city of New York where her career in music began.
  • Madonna stated “I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” when announcing the shows.
  • The shows were set to run through October in North America, before hitting Europe with a string of dates – including six stops at the O2, London.
  • Madonna is set to return to the US in December for another run of live dates into the New Year.
  • Bob the Drag Queen a.k.a. Caldwell Tidicue will guest across all dates on the global tour.
