• A newlywed California man, Steven Phan, drowned while on his honeymoon with his wife, Brittany, in Hawaii.
• A spear fisherman pulled him to shore and bystanders began CPR before first responders arrived, but he didn’t make it.
• They were only married for three months.
• Belongings taken by thieves on the beach included cell phones, wallets, money, clothing, and their car rental.
